As Chief Executive Officer, Erik Lightner combines the skills of an engineer with the vision of an entrepreneur to define strategic objectives, grow businesses, and implement the frameworks required to sustainably deliver returns to shareholders, investors, and team members. He oversees all aspects of the business with a honed focus on creating a culture of safety, quality, and community. Erik is also propelling value-added agriculture forward in Iowa by developing key partnerships and relationships with producers and customers to position Platinum Crush for future growth.

Educated at Penn State, Erik began his career with Archer Daniels Midland, where he gained extensive experience in oilseed processing, fats and oils refining, flour milling, and cocoa & chocolate manufacturing businesses throughout the Midwest and around the globe. Before joining Platinum Crush, Erik served in multiple executive leadership roles with The Haskell Company, servicing clients worldwide through consulting, engineering, and project development/delivery.
