As Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering, Scott Frerichs brings nearly 30 years of grain processing experience across all aspects of operations, including plant management, large construction projects, and engineering best practices. He leads all operational and technical functions of Platinum Crush. He also creates programs and implements systems focused on health & safety, quality control, process safety management, and standard operating procedures to keep our team members, partners, and community safe.

Educated at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Scott gained decades of experience at Archer Daniels Midland, where his career spanned five continents across oilseeds processing, fats and oils refining, cogeneration, and cocoa and chocolate manufacturing plants. He brings direct experience with constructing, starting up and managing greenfield manufacturing facilities. Scott, who grew up on a 2,000-acre family farm near Columbia, South Dakota, is pleased that his role at Platinum Crush strengthens his ties to his rural roots.
